“There’s nothing worse than being bullied and feeling alone,” one teen girl tells transgendered teen and TLC Jazz Jennings in the above spot on bullying, that is part of TLC‘s national public service campaign, Give a Little TLC.
The network worked with Encino, Calif.-based creative agency Ringer to produce the short film featuring Jennings and her parents.
In the film, Jazz, star of the network’s hit reality series, I Am Jazz, receives video messages from kids who have been bullied. She watches each message with her parents before meeting with the kids and their families in person for some emotional and honest conversations.
The film is part of the network’s overall effort dedicated to empowering viewers to make a different in the lives of those in need. The focus of the 2018 campaign was on bullying prevention, in partnership with organization Love is Louder co-founded in 2017 by actress Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect), herself a Give a Little honoree. In turn, Love is Louder works in partnership with suicide prevention organization Jed Foundation and MTV.
Donations raised from the Give a Little TLC campaign go to helping Love is Louder travel to schools to speak and lead programs, offer complimentary film screenings on campuses and develop online programs intended to help people who feel mistreated, misunderstood or alone.
