“It’s time to get the squad back together,” say some old-school Call of Duty players in the live-action trailer for Call of Duty: WWII, which takes a tongue-in-cheek approach to the concept of reuniting for an important cause.
The spot, “Reassemble” follows a group of friends that seek each other out for some gameplay after learning the latest Call of Duty installment will return to its original World War II setting. Many of those early players now have jobs, spouses and kids, as the promo points out, but it doesn’t take much to convince them to come back to the game they once loved.
“I told you I’m out,” one friend says when approached at an arcade with her young son and infant.
“We booked you a sitter,” another responds.
“I’m in,” she says.
Call of Duty: WWII becomes available November 3 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
