The preview, above, for Lifetime’s new conspiracy series “The Lottery” tells a story through multiple points of view. In a future with a global fertility crisis and vrey few children about, a scientist (Dr. Alison Lennon) might have found the answer in a series of tests she runs to fertilize a select few embryos.
Then the government steps in, taking control of her lab and everything in it, wanting to start a lottery to decide which women will carry the embryos. Meanwhile, the father of one of the last children born in this dystopian future isn’t getting answers when his son is taken, supposedly to be taken care of by the state as one of the precious few kids left.
“The Lottery” debuts Sunday at 10 p.m. on Lifetime.
