With the North and South at war and monsters roaming when they should be hibernating, it could be the end of days in season two of Netflix’s The Witcher.

That said, Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) has seen three ends of days and nothing has really come of it so not to worry. Whether the end of the world is nigh or not, Geralt must protect his new ward, Princess Cirilla (Freya Allen), whose power is finally emerging.

The Witcher is based on the series of best-selling novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.

New cast members for season two include Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton), Cassie Clare (Brave New World), Liz Carr (Silent Witness), Graham McTavish (Outlander), Kevin Doyle (Downton Abbey), Simon Callow (Four Weddings and a Funeral) and Chris Fulton (Bridgerton).

Season two of Netflix’s epic fantasy series drops Dec. 17.
