The 18th century, according to the BBC, was full of opulence, fashion and caffeine. To thank the Georgians for these cultural gifts, BBC Two, BBC Four and BBC Radio 3 are coming together for programming surrounding the era.
“Eighteenth Century Britain: Majesty, Music and Mischief” begins this April across the BBC properties, centering on arts and culture during the era. The season will kick off with “Rule Britannia: Music, Mischief and Morals in the 18th Century” on April 7, and will continue with performances, concerts and historical looks at the period.
