It can be a little overwhelming to sift through, but if you are a designer looking to optimize your Conference experience, here are a few suggestions.

Harnessing the Power of Virtual Reality

But for now, designers who want a leg up should really be implementing VR into the workflow, if it’s not there already. Discover how VR is currently being used by the networks and how it could be used in the future. Speakers such as Aaron Luber, head of content partnerships for none other than Google’s VR Team, ensure you’ll be in good hands at this session.

THURSDAY, JUNE 16

State of Design
11:15am

A no-brainer every year for designers based on the title alone, State of Design pulls together the past year’s most compelling moments across every avenue of storytelling, from music video to advertising, game cinematic, branded content, and beyond. Every year, moderator Stephen Price, editor of the essential Stash Media, ensures attendees leave State of Design edified, inspired, provoked and most of all, delighted.

The Art of Title Design
2:30pm

They say we’re in a golden age of television (has that been upgraded to platinum yet?), but designers know the truth: We’re in a golden age of television main titles, and the speakers at this session are here to prove it. From CHIPS co-founder Teddy Blanks, who masterminded the magically morphing titles for Mozart in the Jungle Season 2, to Alan C. Williams, director with show open powerhouse Imaginary Forces, The Art of Title Design is a who’s-who of creatives who know what it takes to draw a viewer in.

State of Our Art 2016
4:45pm

You work hard, sometimes too hard. Sometimes for too long, and for too little. Sometimes – maybe lots of times – it’s easy to forget that what you do matters. That what you create has impact and value, and can sometimes even change the world. For all those dark hours from years past, and in the years to come, when you’re feeling low about the work you do, State of Our Art is here to help with its annual survey of the world’s most innovative and powerful works in marketing, promotion and design.
