Nearly 15 years after its debut, HBO’s critically acclaimed Deadwood is back to tell the story of what happens in the Wild West town after South Dakota became a state.

The movie, premiering on Friday, May 31, features much of the original cast, including Ian McShane as Al Swearengen and Timothy Olyphant as Seth Bullock. Swearengen is the town’s crime boss; Bullock is the law. Yet somehow the two find a way to co-exist.

The cast also includes Molly Parker, John Hawkes, Kim Dickens, Robin Weigert, Paula Malcomson, Gerald McRaney, William Sanderson and more.

The film is executive produced by David Milch, who also wrote the script, as well as Carolyn Strauss, Daniel Minahan, Gregg Fienberg, Scott Stephens, Ian McShane and Timothy Olyphant. Regina Corrando co-executive produces. Daniel Minahan directs.
