Arrow’s Stephen Amell and Vikings’ Alexander Ludwig play a pair of heels—and brothers and rivals—who are chasing their dreams as small-town wrestlers after post-high-school life didn’t pan out as they thought it would.

Jack (Amell), now a lawnmower salesman, and Ace (Ludwig), a washed-up high-school quarterback who couldn’t play in college, are trying to make it work in their small hometown of Duffy, Ga., where their father once ran an independent professional wrestling league. Now Jack wants to bring the league back and with it, some of the glory and confidence he once felt as a big fish in a small pond.

Heels is written and created by Executive Producer Michael Waldron (Loki, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) with Executive Producer Mike O’Malley (Shameless, Survivor’s Remorse) as showrunner. Peter Segal (Get Smart, 50 First Dates, Tommy Boy, Shameless) directs several episodes and also executive produces. Along with Waldron, O’Malley and Segal, LBI Entertainment’s Julie Yorn (Hell or High Water, White Boy Rick, The Dirt), Christopher Donnelly and Patrick Walmsley also as executive produce. Heels is produced by Lionsgate TV for Starz in association with Paramount Television Studios.

Heels premieres across all Starz domestic and international platforms on Sunday, August 15.
