Layton (Daveed Diggs) is trying to marshall his forces against Mr. Wilford (Sean Bean) as TNT’s Snowpiercer returns for season three in January.
At the end of last season, Layton and Ruth (Alison Wright) were banished to the compost car where they plotted to take back Snowpiercer, a nuclear-powered train that continually circumnavigates the frozen post-apocalyptic world and is controlled by Wilford. Layton and Ruth and their inner circle have commandeered a 10-car pirate train that they are using to hunt for Melanie (Jennifer Connelly), who exited the train to get the rebels a key piece of intel. They also are searching for any remaining warm place where they could restart civilization.
Meanwhile, back on Snowpiercer, Wilford awaits Layton and his band’s return.
Snowpiercer, based on the movie by South Korean film director Bong Joon Ho, also stars Rowan Blanchard, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Archie Panjabi, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, Mike O’Malley, Chelsea Harris and Steven Ogg.
Snowpiercer is executive produced by Graeme Manson, Aubrey Nealon, Christoph Schrewe, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements, Matthew O’Connor, Ben Rosenblatt and Scott Derrickson, and the original film’s producers, including Bong Joon Ho, Miky Lee, Jinnie Choi, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun and Dooho Choi.
