Anne Skopas has been named managing director and executive producer of bi-coastal creative production company Scholar’s New York studio, according to William Campbell, Scholar co-founder and director.
“Anne exudes a calm confidence in everything she does, it grounds the people around her, and it’s that spirit that will be so foundational for us on the East Coast,” Campbell said in a statement.
“Scholar is so welcoming and I was inspired by the opportunity to shape an office, nurture the artists, and bring their ideas to life through my production experience,” said Skopas, also in a statement. “When you have the best talent in the world and you are still open to new ideas, that’s when you embrace the unexpected. It’s the collaborative nature of being heard and respecting others that leads to the most colorful portfolio of work. Scholar has that.”

Skopas joins the production company from Hornet, where she helped foster the company’s roster of directors. Prior to that, she led the development of the design and animation department at Buck Studios.
