WGN America holds nothing back in a captivating sneak peek at the upcoming second season of its original antebellum drama Underground.

The latest teaser for the show, entitled “Reverse,” centers around Rosalee (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) who goes back to the place where she escaped to get the rest of her family.

Pulled from the annals of history, the 10-episode second season of Underground takes place in an increasingly divided United States on the verge of all-out war. Set in the wake of the Macon 7’s daring efforts to stage the greatest escape in history, this group of American heroes continues on their tireless journey towards freedom.

The series’ regular cast includes Christopher Meloni and Marc Blucas. Recurring guest stars are Hinds, Jasika Nicole, DeWanda Wise, Michael Trotter, Jesse Luken, Sadie Stratton and John Legend.

Underground, produced by Sony Pictures Television, comes from creators and executive producers Misha Green and Joe Pokaski, and executive producers Legend, Akiva Goldsman, Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell.

Underground returns for season two Wednesday, March 8 on WGN America.
