Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s has worked with Adult Swim before on the famous “Aqua Teen Hunger Force And Fresh Baked Buns,” a branded spot presented by Carl Brutananadilewski from Aqua Teen Hunger Force (below).
Now the restaurants are turning to another Adult Swim team, Rick and Morty, to help market their ever-growing burger menu.
In its latest branded spot, Carl’s Jr. burgers invade Morty’s bedroom in the middle of the night with Rick’s help. The whole gang is there: the Thickburger El Diablo, the All-Natural Burger, the Western Bacon Cheeseburger, the Jalapeno Thickburger and Tex Mex Bacon Thickburger.
“I don’t want to be in a commercial,” is Morty’s reply. “It’s 4 o’clock in the morning I’ve got a big test tomorrow!”
The custom spot was created and produced by Rick and Morty co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, with help from agencies Initiative and 72andSunny.
