At 10 am PT precisely on Thursday, March 6, Twitter lit up with the hashtag #ASKHOC.

People flooded the service with questions for the producers and cast of Netflix’s “House of Cards” — including Emmy-nominated Kevin Spacey and Golden Globe-winner Robin Wright — about the twisty political drama. Turns out, a half-hour is nowhere near long enough to answer fans’ questions about the show.

The questions came far faster than the answers, and many of those were unsatisfying. For example: “If Frank Underwood were an ice cream, what kind would he be?”

Answer, from @KevinSpacey: “Rocky Road.”

Spacey also hinted that prior to dessert, he might be hungry for a little Cashew. (I myself was surprised that guinea pig made it out of season two alive.)

Other cast members to join the chat included Michel Gill, who plays gullible President Garrett Walker; Sebastian Arcelus, who plays Lucas Goodwin, a reporter and boyfriend of Zoe (Kate Mara); and Constance Zimmer, who plays another reporter, albeit a terrified one, Janine Skorsky.

While the Twitter Q&A ended up being pretty light on info—with the cast seeming to avoid spoilers—it did become a trending topic, which is what the show was likely hoping to achieve. Show creator and writer Beau Willimon also said that they are writing season three now, with production beginning in a few months. (Keep your fingers crossed for a Feb. 2015 premiere.)

@HouseofCards also gave away a few sets of this year’s it-game, Cards Against Humanity, and tweeted out lots of fun meme pics, including this one:

Kevin Spacey stars in Netflix’s “House of Cards.”

This one:

Robin Wright won a Golden Globe for her performance as the icily calm Claire Underwood.

And this one:

Rachael TKTK plays former prostitute Rachael TKTK, who inadvertently involved herself in some very dangerous activity.
Rachel Brosnahan plays former prostitute Rachael Posner, who inadvertently got herself involved with some very dangerous people.

Answer to this final question after the events of Season Two: Um, it’s highly likely. Better get to work on your survival skills, Rachael.

Spacey, not one to miss a social-media marketing opportunity, also used the occasion to promote his new movie, Now, which comes out this spring. The movie chronicles Spacey’s collaboration with Sam Mendes, a veteran of the London stage, to produce Shakespeare’s “Richard III.”

The Twitter chat only ran from 10 to 10:30 am PT on March 6, but you can still check it out using #ASKHOC on Twitter.
