PromaxBDA UK is prepping to hold its annual conference and awards November 3, 2016 in London, said Frank Radice, PromaxBDA UK conference chair. The conference will be themed “The New Normal,” and will include speakers from the BBC, ITN, NBCUniversal International, Sky, Channel 4, Facebook, Amazon, Kaltura and more.
“We are in the midst of a seismic shift in the way we create and market to best achieve our goals across a multitude of new platforms,” said Radice in a statement. “Emerging businesses are now competitive industries — a part of our way of modern life. This new paradigm is “The New Normal” and London is filled with some of the greatest creatives in the world.”
“Broadcasting is no longer linear and one-way, it is interactive and everyone is participating. With this, comes campaigns that consist of multi-channel narratives that go beyond the 30-second promo, often adding immersive and interactive experiences which the consumer now craves,” said Marc Ortmans, PromaxBDA UK conference vice chair. “‘The New Normal’ conference will anticipate the future and change the way you think.”
Confirmed speakers for the event include headliner and Paralympian Ade Adepitan; Mark Browning, managing director of ITN Productions; Marco Giusti, senior VP of international creative at NBCUniversal; James Walker, head of marketing at Channel 4; Andrew Hawken, former head of Sky News Digital; Russell Morris, marketing and merchandising director at Amazon Instant Video; Guy Slattery, general manager at Viceland, Ron Yekutiel, CEO of Kaltura and more.
The event, which is being held at Here East in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, will feature TED-style talks, high-powered conversations and interactive Q&A sessions as well as entertainment and state-of-the-art demonstrations.
On November 4, PromaxBDA UK will host its annual awards ceremony, to be held at the Park Lane Hilton in London.
