Eight years after it ended, Prison Break is back.

Fox’s new event series reunites original stars Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Paul Adelstein for the signature action and cliffhangers that marked the original series that aired from 2005 to 2009.

The drama focused on Michael Scofield (Miller), who was determined to save his convicted brother Lincoln Burrows (Purcell) from death row by hatching an elaborate plan to escape from prison.

When season five returns, clues surface that previously thought-to-be-dead Michael may be alive and Lincoln and Michael’s wife—or “widow,” Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies)—are pulled back into the action, along with other cast members.

The original producing team, including series creator Paul T. Scheuring, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead, will return to executive-produce the new series, with Scheuring serving as showrunner/writer.

Prison Break premieres April 4 at 9/8 central.
