Starting this weekend with Nationwide Insurance’s Memorial Tournament, PGA TOUR and DIRECTV will team up for enhanced coverage of and exclusive content for four PGA TOUR events this year.

The programming/marketing partnership is anchored by the “PGA TOUR Experience,” a multi-screen platform providing expanded, weekend coverage of the Memorial Tournament (June 1-2), the Travelers Championship (June 22-23), The World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational (August 3-4), and the Barclays (August 24-25). Available free of charge and in HD for all DIRECTV customers, the Experience will display four specialty channels dedicated to the TOUR: the basic CBS Sports Network feed of the tournaments; The Launch Pad, a channel analyzing long drives; ShotLink Channel, featuring an interactive menu that lets fans access more in-depth data and statistics; and a “Featured Group” channel that lets viewers follow select groups of players around the course.

Each channel will have its own set of announcers, and the Experience will also be viewable on the PGA TOUR iPad app.

For more info on the expanded coverage, check out DIRECTV’s website.
