Novel adaptation “Outlander” has been hyped at pay-cable network Starz for months now, and it finally has a premiere date. On Saturday, Aug. 9,“Outlander” will premiere its first of 16 episodes, currently shooting in Scotland.

Its full trailer, “Disappearance,” addresses the heroine’s time travel confusion: “Disappearances, after all, have explanations… usually.”

Starz’ adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling series also released key art with the tagline: “What if your future was the past?” The drama/romance follows a nurse in 1940s Scotland who finds herself displaced in the 1700s complete with warriors and potential danger.
