Offred (Elisabeth Moss) recites the rules: “wear the red dress, wear the wings, shut your mouth, be a good girl,” but she clearly isn’t following them in Hulu’s teaser and key art for season two of The Handmaid’s Tale.

The key art alone features her with hair down, holding her bonnet as it goes up in flames.

Scenes from the promo show her mouth covered in a restraint as a noose hangs in front of her face, and ends with her standing in a white dress, covered in blood.

“We are in hell. Be are still the fury,” Hulu says about the teaser, which dropped on International Women’s Day.

Adapted from the novel by Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid’s Tale takes place in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly the United States. Faced with a plunging birthrate Offred and other fertile women as forced into sexual servitude as handmaids in desperate attempt to repopulate the world.

Season two of the Emmy-winning drama is shaped by Offred’s pregnancy, and her fight to free her future child from the horrors of Gilead.

But “Gilead is within you,” as Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) often says. She, and all the characters, “will fight against—or succumb to—this dark truth,” according to Hulu.

The series also stars Samira Wiley, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel, Max Minghella, Madeline Brewer, O-T Fagbenle and Amanda Brugel.

It’s created, executive produced and written by Bruce Miller and executive produced by Warren Littlefield, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, Ilene Chaiken, and Moss. MGM Television serves as the international distributor for the series.

The first two episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale season two will premiere April 25 on Hulu.
