Netflix has unveiled the first teaser for season two of Dead to Me, its dark comedy starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as two women with an unlikely friendship and shared secrets to keep.
After capturing key moments from last season, the spot shows Jen (Applegate) and Judy (Cardellini) covering up the killer cliffhanger that’ll likely bind them together forever. But there’s a surprising new visitor, Detective Perez (Diana Maria Riva), who is hot on their heels, forcing the duo to take drastic measures to protect their loved ones and each other…no matter the cost, the logline says.
While Judy thinks the solution is to stay positive, Jen has her reservations as she claims, “We are not in Snow White. We are in fucking Scarface.”
The spot also reveals the season two premiere date of May 8, nearly one year after the series’ premiere. Netflix also released this season’s key art, which sees Jen and Judy sitting in the pool with bloody-looking glasses of wine—a nod to last season’s key art.
