NBC Sports Network is changing its name once again, to NBCSN, with new graphics and references seeping in gradually as the world leads up to the 2014 Sochi Olympics in February.
NBC intends to kick the transition process off with bang, dropping the new NBCSN moniker into this Saturday’s coverage of the Liverpool/Stoke City Premier League soccer match. NBCSN will be the network’s primary mark on Saturday, with an image of “NBC Sports Network” dissolving into the new logo and a NBCSN-specific voiceover.
By the time of the Winter Olympics in February, NBCSN will be solidified as the network’s name and brand, with NBC Sports Network only appearing occasionally.
