NBC wants a piece of the Over The Top action, and they’re going to make you laugh in the process.

The Peacock Network is planning an new subscription video service centered on its comedy library, Variety reported Tuesday. The new service marks the network’s entry into a growing Over The Top field that will soon include HBO, Univision, and CBS, too.

NBC’s service, which is set to launch later this year, could include full episodes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, as well as Saturday Night Live, although no final decisions on programming have been made, the trade reported.

Subscriptions would launch at $2.50 to $3.50 per month, and could include original series.

NBC’s new EVP of digital enterprises, Evan Shapiro, is heading up the streaming service. Shapiro joined NBC after launching Participant Media’s millennial-themed network pivot.
