National Geographic Channel International’s show, Science of Stupid, examines the actual science behind some of the Internet’s most humiliating (and sometimes hilarious) fails.
So in lining up with the midseason return of The Walking Dead, Nat Geo created a cross-promotional campaign that used walkers to illustrate how dumb people can be online - promoting both shows at once, with a nice message of looking out where you’re going hidden in there too.
“Being part of the Fox International Channels portfolio, we look for opportunities to link to other shows within the family of channels,” said Emanuele Madeddu, SVP of creative and marketing for National Geographic Channels International. “This time we have the chance to take advantage of the biggest global hit in the world to promote the new season of Nat Geo’s Science of Stupid,” which he adds is also the third most-watched series on Nat Geo’s 170 channels worldwide.
