Freeform has announced additional partnerships and promotions for its annual 25 Days of Christmas event.
The network has partnered with Funny or Die for a series of shorts that will air throughout its December programming bloc. Entitled Funny or Die Presents Santa’s Shorts, the two-to-four-minute episodes are featured on the Freeform app and will run Dec. 1 - 25.
To help everyone get into the holiday spirit, Freeform has announced their very first Ambassador of Cheer - the incomparable Miss Piggy. In promos that will air throughout the 25 Days of Christmas programming event, Miss Piggy and some of her fellow Muppets will spread the joy of this festive season.
“It is moi’s great honor to be named Freeform’s first ever Ambassador of Cheer…and I intend to wield my vast ambassadorial powers to make certain everyone enjoys a happy holiday, filled with happiness, hilarity, joy and giving,” said Miss Piggy. “And speaking of giving, remember it’s never too late to get the new ambassador a lovely holiday gift.”
Freeform will also bring back its Pop-Up Santa initiative, which sees the network’s stars and guests surprising families in need. This year’s highlights include Baby Daddy star Chelsea Kane helping to coordinate a couple’s proposal, The Fosters star Cierra Ramirez delivering a home makeover, and Pretty Little Liars getting a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at Marlene King’s new show Famous in Love.
