Michael Engleman has been promoted to chief marketing officer for TBS and TNT while Marie Moore has moved up to senior vice president of communications for the two Turner-owned cable networks.
Jeff Gregor, former CMO and chief catalyst officer of TBS and TNT, is retiring this month after 17 years.
“As we’ve continued to reinvent our two market-leading bands, TBS and TNT, Michael and Marie have been key architects in rebuilding our marketing and communications strategies and organizations, as well as pivoting to our bigger vision of re-imagining where television is going,” said Kevin Reilly, president of TBS and TNT and chief creative officer of Turner Entertainment, in a statement.
Engleman arrived at TNT and TBS in January 2016 as executive vice president of entertainment marketing and brand innovation. In the two years that he’s been there, Engleman has been a key architect in creating and executing innovative cross-platform content, campaigns and live activations, while continuing to change the audience’s perception of the networks’ brands.
“Michael is the consummate media professional combining an unbelievable array of talents — keen creative instincts, a highly strategic thought process and great team building skills,” said Reilly, to whom Engleman reports.
Prior to joining Turner, Engleman was executive vice president of marketing, digital and global brand strategy for NBCUniversal’s Syfy and Chiller. Prior to that, he was vice president and creative director for CMT.
Moore joined Turner in June 2015 as vice president of communications, reporting to Sal Petruzzi, senior vice president and domestic communications officer for Turner Entertainment. In her time at Turner, she has grown the publicity, communications, events, awards and talent relations teams for TBS, TNT and digital studio Super Deluxe.
“Marie has been an incredible partner in helping to shape and propel our narrative and amplify the success of our networks,” said Reilly, also in a statement. “She has brought tremendous flair and execution to our publicity initiatives and she operates with the agility needed to crack the code and connect with consumers in our dynamic but complicated media landscape.”
Moore joined Turner from IFC where she was senior vice president of public relations, overseeing consumer media relations, program publicity and talent relations. She came to AMC Networks in 2007 from parent company Cablevision where she was vice president of public relations for the organization’s on-demand networks.
