Marla Provencio has joined creative agency Lussier as chief creative strategist, the company said Monday.

Provencio joins after serving as executive vice president and chief marketing officer at ABC. She will report to Chris Stonich, Lussier’s president and chief creative officer.

Collaborating on hits from Lost and Desperate Housewives to Modern Family and Scandal have been highlights in my career and milestones for the company. She is one of the smartest and most creative people in our business. Beyond that, she is an inspiring leader who people love working with.”

Provencio is a 35-year veteran of ABC, where she started her career in on-air promotion as a production coordinator and then climbed through the ranks until being named EVP and CMO for ABC Entertainment in November 2011.

During her tenure, Provencio launched Modern Family, Once Upon a Time, How to Get Away with Murder, black-ish, Castle, Agents of SHIELD, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Scandal, Dancing with the Stars, Shark Tank, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and many others.

On Thursday, Provencio will receive the 2017 PromaxBDA Lifetime Achievement Award. She has received numerous PromaxBDA awards over the years, including for the ABC House branding campaign and for series campaigns such as Revenge, Modern Family, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, NYPD Blue and Alias.
