Part one of Lifetime’s “Bonnie & Clyde” miniseries Sunday delivered 9.8 million total viewers for the cabler, with 4.2 million in the key adults 25-54 demographic.

For the first time ever, A+E Networks also simulcast the program on Lifetime and two sister networks, History and A&E at 9pm ET/PT Sunday. Sunday’s ratings make “Bonnie & Clyde” the best miniseries opening since 2006’s “Broken Trail,” aside from History’s “Hatfields & McCoys” and “The Bible.”

Besides sports, “Bonnie & Clyde” was Sunday’s most Tweeted program of the day, and ranked first on Google Trends with more than 500,000 searches.

Part two airs Monday at 9pm ET/PT, following an encore of the premiere.

“Bonnie & Clyde” stars Emile Hirsch (“Milk”) and Holliday Grainger (“Borgias”) as the infamous bank robbing duo.
