The first season of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver promoted the weekly news show with Oliver bringing an overzealous narrator back to reality: correcting him that the show offers “breaking news… on a weekly basis.”

For season two, the narrator has again gotten a bit overenthusiastic, but this time he’s focused on the many changes Oliver should make in the show. Oliver, as seems to be his habit, vetoes every one of them.

Narrator: And in season two, he’s changing everything up.

Oliver: Why would I do that?

Narrator: All bets are off.

Oliver: All bets are most decidedly still on.

The narrator has plenty of ideas, like a crime-solving pony and a possible storyline of Oliver raising a baby (Oliver turns them down, but fingers crossed that pony makes another appearance).

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver is back Feb. 8 on HBO.
