Carol Burnett may be a comedy legend, but her name means nothing to the 4-to-8-year-olds who will be offering her advice, as well as to other celebrities and everyday people, in Netflix’s A Little Help with Carol Burnett.
The unscripted series features pint-sized opinions from straight-talking kids who will provide hilarious, hard-hitting guidance for real-life issues in front of a live studio audience. Burnett and her guests will reveal how a different generation solves life’s biggest dilemmas.
“Someone once asked me how old I am inside,” Burnett said. “I thought about it, and came up with, ‘I’m about eight.’ So it’s going to be a lot of fun playing with kids my age.”
Bela Bajaria, vice president, content acquisition for Netflix, said the service is thrilled to have Burnett on board.
“Carol is truly a legend in the entertainment industry with unprecedented success and fandom across TV, film and the stage,” she said, “and we are both honored and excited to work with her.”
The 12 half-episodes are slated to premiere in 2018.
