Los Angeles-based creative agency Jonas & Co takes viewers on a fantastical animated tour of planet Earth for Dish’s Earth Day Watch Event, which runs throughout April.

“One of the things I find myself daydreaming about the most is the ability to get out and explore the world, travel to another city or go adventure through nature,” said Mitch Kahl, retention marketing/programmer partnerships at Dish. “To help people like myself mentally escape to those places and to celebrate Earth Day in April, our team created the Dish ‘Earth Day Watch Event.’ We’ve partnered with some great programmers to bring our customers the best movies, shows and documentaries that celebrate the splendor of planet Earth.

The event includes free previews of such natural history programmers as BBC America, Discovery Channel, Nat Geo Wild and Smithsonian Channel as well as movie nights on Saturdays at 9 p.m., and a new dedicated “Dishscapes” channel. The earth-focused programming will be available throughout April.

“Hopefully this content will help bridge the gap until we are able to explore the world again, as we know we will get through this together,” said Kahl.
