In the newly created role of SVP of Sponsorship Group at Turner Broadcasting’s Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media Group (AYAKM), Turner veteran Jill King will oversee all aspects of Cartoon Network and Adult Swim’s strategic partnerships, event marketing and trade marketing, as well as their ancillary digital businesses.

King will work with Turner Broadcasting’s Young Adults Sales management to develop strategies that drive revenue for the division, including delivering advertising Upfront strategies. She will also develop and oversee marketing partnerships with relevant brands and develop new business opportunities.

King’s new role comes at a time when “the industry continues to evolve at lightning speed,” said Brenda Piper, CMO for AYAKM, in a statement, “and we are working with our partners to figure out completely new ways to effectively engage with our audiences through social media, mobile and smart devices. We are extremely happy to welcome Jill back home where she first pushed the boundaries on sales promotions and set industry standards by pioneering new approaches.”

Formerly, King was an independent consultant to AYAKM while based overseas. She also served as SVP of strategic marketing and partnerships for the division.
