London-based creative studio Coffee & TV made cricket on BBC Sport the hippest, coolest, loudest thing on TV this summer with this visual identity and title sequence for The Hundred 2021, a tournament that’s new to the sport this year.
The 100-ball tournament—which runs July 21 through August 21 with matches airing on the BBC, Sky Sports and on Sky Sports’ YouTube channel—includes eight men’s and women’s teams: Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Birmingham Phoenix, Trent Rockets, Welsh Fire, London Spirit, Oval Invincibles and Southern Brave. Each team has a men’s side and a women’s side.
Within the above title sequence, each team gets its own fast-paced and colorful brand identity, highlighting team members and adding text and graphics to illustrate that team’s home base.
