Discovery’s crime and mystery network, Investigation Discovery, is bolstering its marketing department today, promoting Nellie Ryan and Garnsey Sloan to VPs. Ryan will take on the role of VP of marketing - strategy, with Sloan as VP of marketing - creative, effective today. They will both report to Doug Seybert, SVP of marketing for Investigation Discovery, as well as American Heroes Channel, Destination America and Discovery Fit & Health.

Ryan was previously senior director of marketing at the network, but will now oversee on-air and off-air marketing strategies. Sloan is moving from her role as senior creative director of marketing, where she had led campaigns for the net with taglines such as “Your Guilty Pleasure.” Her new role puts her in charge of Investigation Discovery’s new brand positioning, “Always Revealing.”

Both Ryan and Sloan have been with parent company Discovery since 2003.
