Tuesday night’s preview of new tech thriller “Intelligence” hit a ratings high note with 16.6 million viewers, making the new CBS show the most-watched new series premiere of the season, according to Nielsen and CBS.
The new series, starring “Lost’s” Josh Holloway and “CSI’s” Marg Helgenberger, debuted last night as a preview after “NCIS,” which served as a strong lead-in with more than 20 million viewers at 8 p.m. “Intelligence” also won a 2.4 rating for the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.
“Intelligence” will return to its regular night on Monday, Jan. 13.
Brief Take: Such high ratings for a new series gives CBS bragging rights in its upcoming marketing for the series, as it can now tout “Intelligence” as the most-watched new series premiere of the season as it tries to lure more viewers to this timeslot.
