Imaginary Forces Creative Director Karin Fong – whose credits include Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere and Prime Video’s Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and The Wheel of Time – works with a sunset-inspired palette for the main titles for Hulu’s soapy new legal drama, Reasonable Doubt. The series, which was produced as part of Disney’s Onyx Collective, is executive produced and directed by Kerry Washington (Little Fires Everywhere, Scandal).

The bright sangria tones evoke a West Coast sunset while highlighting familiar Los Angeles silhouettes and settings, including Baldwin Hills and Ladera Heights—encased within moving frames and windows. Those frames are meant to hint at the complexities of the life of main character Jax (Emayatzy Corinealdi), a Los Angeles defense attorney who’s almost always juggling drama both at home and at work.

Beyond Los Angeles itself, the sequence also is inspired by classic album covers and silk screen designs, with the windows constantly shifting to highlight different areas of Jax’s personal and professional life, according to Imaginary Forces.
