Top-ranked PGA golfers Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, and Rickie Fowler electrify the greens in this promo campaign for Fox Sports’ second-year coverage of the U.S. Open Championship, June 16-19, 2016.
Driving home the message of “The Future Is Now,” the campaign celebrates the “Young Guns” who represent a new generation of superstars looking to make history in Oakmont.
The evolution of the next generation of golfers—Spieth, McIlroy, and Fowler—who are topping the rankings, embody the challenge and spirit of the sport’s most exciting Championship. Each golfer is almost an archetype of the U.S. Open itself; Spieth is the All-American hero; McIlroy is the tumultuous storm, trying to survive each hole; and Fowler is the brash confidence to succeed.
Fox Sports conceived and produced the campaign in collaboration with entertainment marketing agency mOcean.
Led by creative director Eric Del Greco and produced by Lauren Counter, mOcean wrote, designed, edited and finished the pieces, including the sound design and music.
