Creative agency We Are Royale has hired Heidi Netzley as director of business development, where she’ll help the agency evolve its business development process, nurture existing client relationships, and cultivate its direct-to-brand vertical.

“With its roots in visual storytelling combined with stunning visual design and extensive technical capabilities, We Are Royale is primed for a bigger role in today’s content marketing landscape, as brands like Apple Music, Lyft, Carnival Corp., and Adidas are leveraging content to engage the audience,” Netzley said in a statement. “With our end-to-end content creation capabilities, we can be both a strategic and creative partner to other types of brands, and I look forward to helping make that happen.”

We Are Royale Partner and Executive Creative Director Jayson Whitmore believes Netzley’s enthusiasm, combined with her entertainment and network experience, makes her a perfect fit for the company—especially as brand and entertainment clients increasingly look to the agency as a 360 strategic partner to engage consumers.

Netzley most recently served as director of new business at Digital Kitchen, where she expanded and diversified the company’s client base, and led projects such as a digital documentary series for Topgolf and show launch campaigns for CBS and E!

Prior to that she worked as business development manager at Troika, overseeing brand development initiatives and broadcast network rebrands for clients that include ABC, AwesomenessTV, Audience Network, and Sundance Cinemas.

Netzley understands first-hand the delicate balance in a client/creative partner relationship, having had experience on both sides of the table, according to We Are Royale.

She launched her career at Disney/ABC Television Group, and during her seven-year tenure held various roles ranging from marketing specialist to manager of creative services, where she helped manage the brand across multi-platform marketing campaigns for all of ABC’s primetime properties.
