Grace (Nicole Kidman) and Jonathan Fraser (Hugh Grant) are living the only lives they ever wanted when overnight everything flips on its head. Now living in the wake of a public disaster, Grace must face her problems head on and create a new life for herself, her child and her family.
Besides Kidman and Grant, the six-episode limited series also stars Edgar Ramirez (American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace) as Detective Joe Mendoza; Noah Jupe (Honey Boy) as Henry Fraser; Lily Rabe (American Horrory Story) as Sylvia Steinetz; Noma Demzweni (Black Earth Rising, Normal People) as Haley Fitzgerald; Sofie Gråbøl (Gentleman Jack) as Catherine Stamper; Matilda De Angelis as Elena Alves; Ismael Cruz Córdova (Berlin Station) as Fernando Alves; and Donald Sutherland (Hunger Games, Citizen X) as Grace’s father Franklin Reinhardt, Grace’s father, a retired financier and loving grandfather.
The series is directed by Suzanne Bier, who also directed AMC’s The Night Manager and written by David E. Kelley, with whom Kidman worked on HBO’s Big Little Lies. The series is based on Jean Hanff Korelitz’s novel You Should Have Known.
Bier executive produces while Kelley serves as showrunner. Kidman and Per Saari also executive produce through Kidman’s Blossom Films as well as Bruna Papandrea through Made Up Stories. Stephen Garrett and Celia Costas also executive produce.
The Undoing premieres on HBO on Sunday, Oct. 25.
