HBO dominated the Directors Guild Awards on Saturday night, winning awards for drama Game of Thrones, comedy Veep and limited series The Night Of.

Miguel Sapochnik picked up his award for the much-acclaimed ninth episode of Game of Thrones’ sixth season, “The Battle of the Bastards,” while Becky Martin won for the episode of Veep titled “Inauguration.” Steven Zaillian won for The Night Of, which he also created.

Other drama nominees included Netflix’s Stranger Things, FX’s American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson, which scored two nominations in this category; and HBO’s Westworld.

On the comedy side, both Veep and HBO’s Silicon Valley were nominated twice, with FX’s Atlanta coming in with the fifth nomination for Donald Glover.

Other awards went to Ezra Edelman for ESPN Films’ OJ: Made in America, which also is nominated for an Academy Award for best feature documentary. While OJ: Made in America aired on ABC and ESPN, it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was released in theaters.

Don Roy King won in the variety/talk/news/sports category for an episode of Saturday Night Live that featured the return of Dave Chappelle as host, while Glenn Weiss won in the variety specials category for the 70th annual Tony Awards hosted by James Corden.
