UPDATE Aug. 16, 2014: True Detective took home the Main Title Design Emmy at the ceremony held tonight at the Nokia Theater at L.A. Live.

Pay cable networks lead the 2014 Emmy nominations for Outstanding Main Title Design, announced this morning, with two slots among the five finalists for Mike Judge’s comedy “Silicon Valley” and the drama series “True Detective.” Starz’s pirate drama “Black Sails,” Showtime’s “Masters of Sex” and Fox’s revival of “COSMOS” fill out the rest of the lineup.
