Ubisoft recruited some big-name talent for its new game, Far Cry 6, which debuts in February 2021.

Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, The Mandalorian) plays the evil President Anton Castillo, who oversees a fictional Caribbean island, Yara, that is simmering with violent rebellion. Castillo is trying to prep his gentle and creative son, Diego (Anthony Gonzales, Coco) to take over when he leaves off, and it’s the player’s job to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Players take on the role of guerrilla fighter Dani Rojas, who can be played as a male or female character. Rojas roves through Yara’s capital, Esperanza, as well as its verdant jungles to stoke the fires of revolution. Along the way, Rojas picks up help from the likes of Chorizo, the dangerously distracting wiener dog.

Far Cry 6 is now available for pre-order and it will be playable on Xbox One or PS4 and upgradable for free to Xbox Series X or PS5. The game also will be available on Google Stadia and PC. Pre-ordering also unlocks access to the Libertad pack, which includes an outfit for Chorizo and weaponized disc launcher, Discos Locos. Players can purchase the game or special gold, ultimate or collector’s editions, all of which include season passes.
