Fox Sports’ FS1 launches in August, and with it, advertisers’ chance to buy into the network’s Twitter feeds. The deal between Twitter and Fox Sports was signed in March, and is yet another push by Twitter into partnerships with major television groups.
The deal will include sponsored highlights embedded in tweets from Fox Sports, as well as sponsored trends and promoted accounts. All revenue from the deal will be split evenly between the two parties, and no money changed hands during its creation.

Brief Take: Twitter is only the beginning of Fox Sports’ social media strategy. The network is also planning sweepstakes and other advertising programs built around various social media platforms.
