Father Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) and Father Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels) are have left “the urban landscape of Chicago” for a “secluded, creepy, heavily forested island off the coast of Seattle” as season two of The Exorcist kicks off with a brand new story.
Picking up six months after the season one finale, the priests meet former child psychologist Andrew Kim (John Cho) who runs a group home for foster children, and one of the kids becomes possessed.
Fox’s first look at the second installment includes Herrera and Daniels, along with new cast member Cho and Executive Producer Jeremy Slater talking about what’s to come.
The series is about so much more than a simply priests fighting demons, Slater says in the featurette.
“You’re going to see new types of horror scenes,” he says. “You’re going to see scenes so scary that we’re still not quite sure how we’re going to get them on network TV.”
The Exorcist premieres September 29 on Fox.
