The worlds of Fox’s Empire and Star will collide when both shows return to Fox on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
In a special crossover event, Star’s Queen Latifah will appear on Empire while Empire’s Jussie Smollet takes a turn on Star. Season four of Empire debuts at 8 p.m. ET/PT, followed by season two of Star at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Empire also will feature Demi Moore guest-starring as Claudia, nurse to family patron Lucious (Terence Howard). On Star, the girl group continues to struggle for success even though they just came off a victory at Atlanta NextFest.
Both shows are created and executive produced by Lee Daniels. Daniels and Danny Strong created and executive produce Empire, which also stars Terence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. Other EPs on the show include Brian Grazer, Ilene Chaiken, Francie Calfo and Sanaa Hamri. Empire is produced by Imagine Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television.
Star is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Lee Daniels Entertainment. Daniels and Tom Donaghy are creators and executive producers. Pamela Das Williams also is an executive producer, while Karin Gist is executive producer and showrunner.
