Fans who miss the movies have a chance to return to the cinema via Disney+’s Drive-In Festival in Santa Monica, Calif. Oct. 5-12.

Over a week of nightly events at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif., fans will be treated to such activities as the world premiere of Nat Geo’s new series, The Right Stuff and the world premiere of Disney+’s original movie, Clouds, on closing night (Both events are invite-only). The Right Stuff starts streaming Friday, Oct. 9 on Disney+, while Clouds debuts on Oct. 16.

In between, the festival, which is being produced with public health safety as a priority, will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Tangled on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday, Oct. 7 with a showing of Pixar’s animated Coco. Thursday, Oct. 8 brings a 40th anniversary screening of The Empire Strikes Back, followed by a Halloween-themed showing of Hocus Pocus on Friday, Oct. 9, complete with scary surprises. On Saturday, Oct. 10, the musically inclined can share in a Sound of Music Sing-a-Long for that film’s 55th anniversary. Sunday, Oct. 11 brings a showing of Captain Marvel in honor of International Day of the Girl. The festival wraps on Monday, Oct. 12 with Clouds.

Capacity is limited and reservations will be required to attend. Beginning Monday, September 28 at 10 a.m. PT, fans can register for complimentary tickets at www.disneyplus.com/drive-in. One registration is required for each vehicle, with a maximum of four guests per vehicle.

In compliance with State and County requirements, the Disney+ Drive-In Festival will follow safety guidelines to protect all guests and staff:

—Guests must remain in their vehicles for the duration of the program

—No sitting outside of the vehicle will be allowed.

—Congregating of any type is prohibited.

—Social distancing of at least 6 feet will be enforced at all times.

—Face coverings must be worn when interacting with attendants, and when exiting vehicles to visit the restrooms.
