In TNT’s new drama, Snowpiercer, based on the film by Bong Joon Ho, what’s left of humanity is circling the frozen globe on a luxury train comprised of more than 1,000 cars.

In the show, many cars perform different functions, such as dining car, bar car, night car, aquarium, greenhouse, and so on. Now TNT is giving creative viewers the opportunity to design a car of their own for the chance of being featured in the final collection.

Already, such artists as DC’s Tyler Kirkham, Laura Braga, Tim Seeley and more have created custom-designed train cars, which are now available to view on WilfordIndustries.com. As the campaign progresses, additional designs from influencers such as health and wellness expert Jillian Michaels, artists Matt Crump and Michah Dowbak, and showrunner Graeme Manson and the cast will be unveiled on the site. Throughout the season, new fan-submitted designs will gain spots in the Snowpiercer collection.

To get started, fans can head to WilfordIndustries.com to immerse themselves in the show’s digital experience and see concepts for different cars. They can then submit their email address for further information and download the template to design a new car. Instructions on how to proceed will accompany the template.

The digital contest was conceived after it became clear that all experiential marketing for the show would have to be online-only.

“When crafting the marketing campaign for Snowpiercer, we had plans to physically immerse the audience into the world as much as possible,” said Missy Chambless, executive vice president of marketing, TBS, TNT and truTV in a statement. “When it became clear we’d have to pivot to a digital approach, we still wanted to enable viewers to dive deeper into the wonder of the show. The 1,001 train car campaign is about extending the series into fans’ homes and bringing the audience together virtually. We’re so excited to see what fans create throughout this campaign.”

Snowpiercer, which stars Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs, premieres on TNT on Sunday, May 17 at 9 p.m ET/PT. New episodes will be available on the TNT app, partners’ streaming platforms, and on-demand the following day.
