Dave Chappelle returns to Netflix when Sticks and Stones—his fifth stand-up special on the streaming service—premieres Aug. 26.
The trailer features the comedian walking through a desolate land as Morgan Freeman narrates with plenty of f-bombs and inquisitive humor.
“How did we get here, I wonder?” Freeman asks. “I don’t mean that metaphorically; I’m really asking. How did Dave get here? I mean, what the fuck is this? Ah, what do I know? I’m just Morgan Freeman.”
The stand-up special will feature the comedian’s “provocative perspective on the tidal wave of celebrity scandals, the opioid crisis, and more—in trademarked Chappelle fashion,” Netflix says. It comes after Chappelle dropped four comedy specials on Netflix in 2017, as part of a deal with the streamer.
