Katharine Starsinic, former director of marketing and communications at Comcast, has joined Alkemy X acs director of client services and operations.
The creative content company also hired Jay Halbert as senior vice president of finance.
In her role, Starsinic will increase the company’s visibility while working with brand and advertiser clients. Halbert will lead all financial aspects for the company.
“With her experience on both the brand and agency side, Katharine is able to effectuate growth, marketing and operational efficiency, while Jay is a seasoned senior financial executive with a broad range of business experience,” Justin B. Wineburgh, president and CEO of Alkemy X, said in a statement. “The two of them have demonstrated success in moving companies to the next level and they will undoubtedly do the same for Alkemy X.”
At Comcast, Starsinic spend five years building the B2B brand and developing marketing programs for Comcast Business, where she planned and executed new product launches, sponsorships and demand generation campaigns. Prior to Comcast, she worked for 10 years as account director at Wunderman Advertising, where she led teams for the agency’s marquee clients, such as Citi, AT&T, Microsoft, HP and Pfizer.
Starsinic said she’s thrilled to be joining Alkemy X and be involved in its innovative work.

Halbert’s experience spans many industries. He most recently served as senior vice president of a manufacturing company, and was previously president and owner of a laser rental and sales company.
Prior to that, he spent a decade as a CFO for companies in the sports, media and entertainment businesses, such as Comcast Spectacor, which owned the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia 76ers, and Wells Fargo Center.
