All four of Chelsea Handler’s new docu-series for Netflix, Chelsea Does, launch on Saturday, Jan. 23. In the trailer above for Chelsea Does Silicon Valley, it’s not really clear who’s doing whom.
A pithy summary of Handler’s tech skills come from one of the documentary’s talking heads: “She can’t run a microwave.”
Yet she’s willing to try: “I want to talk to them about their algorithms, find out what an algorithm is.”
The trailer shows Handler gamely interacting with iPhones, iPads, virtual reality (“why would you want to watch a movie that’s so out of focus?”), and Khloe Kardashian.
Directed by Oscar and Emmy-nominated Eddie Schmidt (This Film Is Not Yet Rated, Valentine Road) and executive produced by Schmidt, Handler and Oscar and Emmy award-winning Morgan Neville (20 Feet From Stardom, Best of Enemies), Chelsea Does is comprised of four films— Chelsea Does Marriage, Chelsea Does Racism, Chelsea Does Silicon Valley, Chelsea Does Drugs.
On Friday, January 22nd, Chelsea Does will make its world debut at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
