Scot Chastain, NBCUniversal’s senior VP of affiliate marketing and development for NBC Networks, will serve alongside Joe Earley, Fox’s chief operating officer, as co-chair of the PromaxBDA board of directors, Earley announced Tuesday.

Lisa Gregorian, Warner Bros. Television Group’s chief marketing officer, concludes her two-year term as Earley’s co-chair at PromaxBDA’s June conference taking place in New York on June 10-12, 2014. Chastain’s stint will begin then.

“Scot is an incredible and talented marketing executive and has been passionately involved with PromaxBDA for many years and a past board member,” said Earley in a statement. “I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work alongside him as Co-Chair and look forward to utilizing his creativity, innovation and expertise.

“I’d also like to thank (outgoing Co-Chair) Lisa Gregorian for her tireless dedication to the Board and to the membership of PromaxBDA,” he added. “Her contributions, both creatively and organizationally, will be positively felt for years to come. She joined the Board with a very clear set of goals, which she has accomplished. She focused on ensuring that PromaxBDA continued to evolve into a first-rate, year-round association that truly serves its membership—grown by double digits. She was also keenly interested in bringing local stations back into the fold and did that quite successfully with our annual Station Summit. I will miss her as my gavel wielding partner.”

Together, PromaxBDA Board Co-Chairs Earley and Chastain will lead the organization’s board of directors, overseeing strategic planning, year-round member services, and the development of long-term goals and organizational direction.

Chastain has been involved with PromaxBDA since 2005, and served as treasurer from 2007-08 and vice chair from 2009-13. He’s also led the organization’s conference committee for the past seven years.

In his current role at NBC, Chastain oversees the bi-coastal NBC affiliate marketing groups that develop and distribute network marketing, sales and advertising materials for NBC’s 230-plus affiliated and owned TV stations, ensuring NBC’s promotion across local stations’ on-air and digital platforms. Chastain also serves as executive producer for NBC’s key client presentations as well as major affiliate business and marketing meetings.

Chastain joined NBC Entertainment in 1995 as manager of affiliate advertising and promotion services. In 1999, he was named VP of that department. He was promoted to senior VP in 2008.

Prior to joining NBC, Chastain worked in marketing and promotions in local markets.
