After launching nearly two years with just one subscription option that included advertising, CBS All Access on Wednesday announced an ad-free version that will cost $9.99 per month instead of $5.99 per month.

That price point is equivalent to what Netflix currently charges subscribers and $2 less than what Hulu charges for its ad-free tier.

Ad-free does not mean promo-free, however, and even ad-free subscribers will still be treated to a maximum of 30 seconds of promos per half hour, according to Adweek.

The new tier of service includes more than 7,500 episodes of shows, including full current seasons of series such as Big Brother, Blue Bloods, Madam Secretary and The Odd Couple, as well as late night, daytime and news. Coming up in 2017 is Star Trek: Discovery, the latest edition to the storied sci-fi franchise, as well as a spinoff of The Good Wife starring Christine Baranski and a digital-only edition of Big Brother.

Current subscribers to the $5.99 plan still see less commercials when watching on-demand content and can also watch series labeled as “CBS Classics” ad-free.

Live-streaming of CBS owned and affiliated TV stations in local markets will continue to include commercials no matter which plan a subscriber chooses, because these feeds are pulled directly from station broadcasts.
